How the figures on this site are produced, what they include, and what they are not. Read this before you read the Performance page.

The results are simulated, not a record of executed trades
Every figure published on this site comes from applying a fixed set of rules to historical market data. No order was placed, no account was funded, and no counterparty was involved. The period runs from 2010-07-13 to 2026-09-21.
One series is published, and it is the reduced one
We compute the model series, then apply a conservative reduction to each periodic return, rebuild the net asset value from those reduced returns, and recompute every metric from the rebuilt series. What you see published is that reduced series alone. The unreduced series is kept internally for control and is not shown as a comparison, because a side by side view invites the reader to hope for the higher line.
Costs are deducted, and they are stated
Each side of each trade is charged 5 basis points, deducted inside the series rather than mentioned beside it. Custody fees, taxes, and the spread you personally pay are not modelled, because they depend on where you hold your account and on where you live.
What the sample is
Weekly sample (Wednesday) of a daily series. Charts read from that sample, so a chart cannot show a low that fell between two observations. The deepest decline we report is measured on the underlying daily series, not on the sample, so the figure is not flattered by the sampling.
The author's own use is not part of this record
The author holds a portfolio built on these rules. That holding is not audited, not reconciled against this series, and not published here. Nothing on this site should be read as a statement about it.
Past behaviour of a rule says nothing certain about its future
A rule that behaved well across the published period can behave badly across the next one. The figures describe what the rules did against data that already existed. They are a record, not a forecast, and they are published so that you can judge the method rather than trust a claim.
