Code of conduct

These are the eight things we hold ourselves to. They are not a marketing claim; they are the floor below which we will not go. If we are ever found in breach of any of them, the breach is the news.

No recommendation, ever.

We do not tell any member what to buy, when to buy, or how much to buy. The Lab reads regimes on reference indices; the implementation is the member's, on the member's account.

Regimes are read on reference indices.

Every signal in the Lab is computed on broad market index series, never on a named ETF, share class, or wrapper. The choice of product is yours, in your jurisdiction, with your broker.

A timestamped pedagogical record.

Every signal the Lab emits is recorded with a timestamp the day it is read. We do not revise readings after the fact. The record is the practice; the practice does not get rewritten.

Declared conflicts of interest.

We have no commercial relationship with any broker, ETF issuer, or data vendor beyond paying retail rates for the data we consume. If this changes, we publish it here before it takes effect.

No list sale.

Your email, your account data, your strategy saves, none of it is sold, rented, traded, or shared with any third party for marketing purposes. Operational tools (Stripe, Supabase, Resend) receive the minimum data their function requires.

No undisclosed paid mentions.

We do not run sponsored content. No mention of a third party in the Lab, The Way, or the Charter is ever paid for, in any form. Reciprocal recommendations with sister publications are disclosed in the same breath as the recommendation.

Plain exit.

Your membership starts when the payment goes through, and renews until you stop it. You cancel from your account: a monthly plan stops at the next billing date, an annual plan runs to the end of the period already paid for. No friction, no exit survey.

No claim of gain.

We do not claim returns. We never have, we never will. The case for Witan Way is that across regimes, a disciplined method is teachable, not that the method outperforms every benchmark every year. Past behaviour of a strategy is no indication of future behaviour.
